Lifting method statement.
Common safe-system text is already written. Fill only the [JOB] gaps — site, load, crane, path, names. Not an operator form. Critical lifts still need a signed study.

Copy the master
Save a new file with a plan number. Never overwrite the blank template.

Fill or mark N/A
Silent blanks on a safety document are a finding. If a field does not apply, write N/A.

Attach the sketches
Reach diagram on the site plan. Rigging sketch. Chart extract. A plan without drawings is not finished.

Competent person signs
If you are not the Appointed Person for this lift, send the brief to one. JMR will take it from template to a signed plan.
Template questions.
Is this a real lift plan I can use on site?
No. This is a blank document structure. It does not authorise a lifting operation. A lift plan must be prepared and signed by a competent Appointed Person for the specific load, crane, rigging and site.
Which standards is it aligned to?
Section order follows the engineering content expected under BS 7121, LOLER 1998 and ASME B30, with space for DNV-ST-N001 on offshore lifts. Alignment is structural — compliance lives in the numbers and the signature, not in the headings.
Can I put my company logo on it?
Yes, on your working copy. Leave the disclaimer on page 1. The footer may keep the JMR credit or you may replace it on a signed plan you take responsibility for.
Will JMR sign a form I filled in?
Not as a rubber stamp. If you engage us, we recalculate, redraw where needed, and sign our own revision. The template is a starting structure, not a shortcut around engineering.
