JMR Lifting is a lifting engineering consultancy. We plan the lift, calculate the lift, review someone else's lift plan, or generate one with AI. We do not own cranes, we do not sell equipment — that keeps us independent. That independence is what our clients pay for.

2005 — 2008

Crane Operator
Started on the machines. Learned crane operation from the seat — load charts, boom angles, tandem coordination, the feel of what a crane can and cannot do. Foundation of everything that came after.
2008 — 2013
🇰🇼 Kuwait
Rigging Foreman → Rigging Supervisor
Middle East heavy industry. Refineries, tank farms, industrial construction. Moved from operating cranes to leading the rigging crews around them. Learned sling calculations, lift plan reviews, and the discipline of coordinating multi-crane operations.
2013 — Present
🇦🇴 Angola · Africa
Rigging Coordinator → LEEA Certified Appointed Person
Offshore oil & gas operations. Deepwater platform work, marine spread coordination, tandem heavy lifts. Progressed through supervisor and coordinator roles into full Appointed Person responsibility. Culminated in LEEA international certification (2025) — the recognised global standard for lifting operations leadership.

How we work

Founder-led. Network-backed.

JMR Lifting Solutions & Engineering is directed by Muthuraj Jeyabal — LEEA Certified Appointed Person with 20 years of international heavy-lift and rigging experience across India, Kuwait, and offshore Africa.

Every lift plan we sign is authored and reviewed by the founder personally. It is our accountability model: one Appointed Person on the document, one signature, one phone number when something needs to be discussed at 2 am.

For larger or multi-disciplinary projects, JMR draws on a trusted network of certified Lifting Supervisors and Appointed Persons, engaged on a project-specific basis. We scale the team to the scope of the work — never the other way round. You always know exactly who is signing off on your lift.

Founder authorship

Every lift plan is drafted, calculated, and signed by the LEEA Appointed Person named on the document. No ghost-signed reviews.

Project-specific expansion

Where a project needs an on-site Lifting Supervisor or a second Appointed Person for parallel operations, we engage certified professionals from our network — vetted, insured, and briefed on the plan.
